Computer Skills

Our courses do not require advanced computer skills, but of course you need some basic computer skills, especially connecting to the Web using a web browser, and some wordprocessing skills. It is advisable to use a relatively new computer. These are the minimal computer skills that are needed. You need to be able to...

• connect to the Web using a web browser.
• navigate the Web and use search engines.
• send and receive e-mail.
• send and receive attachments via email.

Hardware

• Operating System: Windows: 2000, XP, Vista,
• Processor: 800 MHz or higher
• Memory: 256 MB of RAM
• Hard Drive Space: 200 MB free disk space
• Internet Connection: dial-up can be used, but a broadband connection is recommended
• Sound Card: With speakers, headsets, microphone, webcam is optional
• Monitor: VGA, with minimum 800 x 600 pixel resolution
• Printer: optional

Software

• Mozilla Firefox,
• Adobe Flash Player,
• Adobe Reader,
• Adobe Shockwave Player

Other Requirements

• Above 17 years old
• Understand English
